Notice: Wilkinson County Courthouse Closure on Labor Day
Please be advised that the Wilkinson County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, in observance of Labor Day. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 8:00am.
We appreciate your understanding and wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.
NOTICE: Elections office closed 8/11/2025 to 8/14/2025
The Wilkinson County Election Office will be closed beginning on Monday 08/11/25 thru Thursday 08/14/25. We will be out of town for statewide training. We will have limited availability by phone and email. If you need us, please email. kchatman@wilkinsoncounty.net
RFP NOTICE: Invitation to Bid GM & TC Resurfacing
The Wilkinson County Board of Commissioners will be accepting sealed bids on the following County Project:
- Resurfacing of 2 County Maintained Roads within Wilkinson County.

2013 Department of Transportation Specifications for Patching, Leveling, Resurfacing, Tack Coat, and Stripping. Payment will be based on quantities in place. Bidders are required to visit roads prior to bidding.
Project Scope: The project consists of approximately 3.30 miles of roadway
The successful bidder will submit a certificate of workers comp., liability insurance, and performance bond in the amount of 100% of the project upon being awarded the bid.
Please use bid documentation sheets to document your bids.
Sealed Bids will be accepted until 2:00 P.M., Monday August 18, 2025, and will be opened and recorded at the Public Bid Opening to be held at the Wilkinson County Commissioners Office. The Wilkinson County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any bid. Interested bidders can obtain the complete RFP package by contacting Tracy Strange, County Manger tstrange@wilkinsoncounty.net for questions.

2025 Election Dates to Remember
- August 18, 2025 – First Day to Accept Absentee Applications for the November 4th General/Special Election
- August 18 – August 22, 2025 – Municipal Qualifying Period. ( Please see your local government for specific qualifying dates and times)
- October 6, 2025 – Last day to register to vote or change your address for the upcoming election
- October 14, 2025 – First day to mail out absentee by mail ballots and first day of early voting for the November 4th Election
- October 18, 2025 – Mandatory Saturday voting 9 am to 5 pm
- October 24, 2025 – Last day to accept absentee my mail applications for November 4th election
- October 25, 2025 – Mandatory Saturday voting. 9 am to 5 pm
- October 31, 2025 – Last day of early voting for November 4th election
- November 4, 2025 – Election Day Everyone will vote at your designated precinct
NOTICE: Court House closed on 7/4/2025
The Wilkinson County Court House will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. The Courthouse will reopen on Monday, July 7 at 8:00am.
