Of all the duties and responsibilities held by the County Tax Commissioner, the main function of this office is to serve the citizens of Wilkinson County. It is the mission of the Tax Commissioner's office to collect and disburse all taxes due the state, county, and school system in a timely manner, while also providing excellent customer service with integrity and fairness for all. Whether you are a new resident or have lived here for some time, our goal is to serve everyone in an equal and fair manner with the best customer service possible.

The Tax Commissioner is responsible for the billing and collection of ad valorem taxes due the State, Board of Education, County, and Municipalities at the time of tag/decal sale. Disbursements of these taxes are also made to the proper taxing authority as prescribed by State law. Also, pursuant to State law, the Tax Commissioner is responsible for the collection and disbursement of mobile home taxes, public utility taxes, and timber taxes. We also collects and disburses real and personal property taxes for the City of Allentown, Danville, Gordon, Irwinton, Ivey, McIntyre, and Toomsboro.
